No-Bake Fiber-Fueled Omega-3 Energy Balls
These energy balls are not just tasty; they're super good for you too, thanks to something called omega-3s. These are like special helpers for your body, especially your brain and heart.
The hemp hearts are full of these omega-3s. So when you snack on them, you're giving your body a big boost of goodness!
Omega-3s are important because our bodies can't make them on their own. That's why it's awesome when you can get them from a sweet treat!
Ingredients (makes about 12 balls)
½ cup rolled oats
½ cup hemp hearts
7 dates pitted
⅓ cup walnuts
3 tablespoons nut butter of your choice (Look for one without added sugar or preservatives)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Shredded coconut (optional)
Directions
Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until combined. Add 1 tablespoon of water at a time for the dough to form (About 6 tablespoons).
Line a container with parchment paper. Roll the dough into balls. Optional to roll the balls into hemp seeds or shredded coconut. Then place them in the fridge to harden. Enjoy!
